I searched the whole world for a friend
only to find in the end,
that the person I was trying to locate
was my soul mate.
I couldn’t see because I was too blind
that this person I was trying to find,
was right there in front of me
a truer friend there never could be.
Because we sometimes don’t at first appreciate
how valuable our friends are,
lets not wait to search the globe
when all the while we have the best,
or until our eyes are opened
when our friendships put to test.

either we have the best, or we knowwhenit is pu tot the test. and sometimes it is easier to let go but if ever there was a connection, it is worth the effort and patience to make a friendship last.

none but a true friend can become a true lover or a soul mate...i am lucky in this case...my guy happens to be my best pal...aw now i am nostalgic!

Very true -- friendship is a very special thing and it will last through thick and thin. One will only know who his/her real friends really are through time.

It's a beautiful poem.
Yet, best friends could be lovers, lovers are not necessary best friends....it's lucky for those who have a significant other both for a best friend and lover...

just recently i found a long lost best friend. it's been 17 years...
